Learning through your organization: assignments, due dates, and restricted topics
How the managed experience works day to day: where assigned work lives, how reminders and timed items behave, and why some topics show as restricted.
Where your assigned work lives
If your account belongs to a school, company, or team, your home dashboard leads with your organization: who runs it, announcements addressed to you, and your assignments with live progress. The left menu also has an Assignments tab: everything required of you, due dates, progress, and certificates for what you have finished. Overdue work is clearly flagged.
Assignments with several pieces expand into a checklist, one line per item. If an assignment is marked "in order," later items stay locked until you finish the earlier ones, and the next open item is never locked.
Due dates and reminders
Some assignments carry a due date, sometimes down to an exact time. You do not have to track it yourself: an automatic reminder goes out 24 hours before the deadline. Once the deadline passes, the assignment shows as overdue on your dashboard and in the Assignments tab.
Timed items, tools, and simulator items
An assignment can include a case study or research report with a minimum reading time. A small bubble on the page counts down until the time is met. You can hide it, and it keeps counting either way. Tools work differently: opening one and trying it for a few seconds counts it as done.
A simulator item completes the moment you finish a full run. Any ending counts, bankruptcy included: a finished year is a result. Finishing sends the result to your teacher: the ending, the final numbers, the mode you played, and your month-by-month decision log. Replaying overwrites with your latest run.
What a restricted topic means
Your organization curates what is browsable on your own time, separately from the required work. The tightest setting is lockdown, which limits browsing to what has been assigned. If you land on something outside your scope, usually from a search result or an outside link, you see a restricted-topic note, not an error. Nothing is broken.
Anything that gets assigned to you unlocks automatically. If you think you should have access to something, ask your administrator.
The rest is yours
Everything your organization grants is fully paid for. There is nothing to buy and no upsells inside. Your own progress, notes, streaks, and saves work the same as on any personal account.
