Downloading your data and deleting your account
How the emailed export link works, what the JSON file contains, and the 30-day grace period that lets you undo a deletion by signing back in.
What the export contains
The export is a single JSON file, corlova-data.json, with your profile, progress, notes, saves, and referral history. It is yours to keep or move, and JSON opens in any text editor.
How to get it
Open Profile, then Settings, then Downloads & data, and press the button. For your security the file is not handed over on the spot: Corlova emails you a one-time link that brings you back to a download page, where one click saves the file. If the email seems slow, check spam.
The link is single-use and expires. If it has, request a fresh one from the same place in your profile.
Deleting your account: the 30-day grace period
Deletion lives in Profile, under Privacy, in the danger zone. It is deliberately a two-step confirmation: your password first, then a 6-digit code emailed to you. Accounts created with Google or Microsoft that never set a password skip the password step, and the emailed code alone confirms.
What happens next: the account deactivates immediately and is permanently erased after 30 days. Change your mind inside those 30 days? Sign back in and the account reactivates with everything intact. After the 30 days it is gone for good, so if you want your data, download the export before you delete.
Organization accounts are different
If a school or company manages your account, you cannot self-delete, because it protects the organization's records and your seat. Ask an administrator to remove you from the organization; that instantly turns it into a normal free account (your personal progress stays), which you can then delete here.
Organization owners have one extra step: transfer ownership to another administrator first, in the organization's settings. Once someone else owns it and removes you, your account becomes a normal free account you can delete.
