What decision this helps you make: What your next ad leads with in the first two seconds, and whether it's built to stop the scroll AND sell, not just one or the other.

What this topic is
Ad creative is the actual ad: the image, video, or text a person sees. Under algorithmic delivery it's the biggest performance lever left in your hands, because it both attracts the right people and does the selling.
Why it matters
The platform now handles targeting; creative is what you still control, and the spread between weak and strong creative on identical everything-else is several-fold. It's where cost-per-customer is won or lost.
Who should learn it
Anyone running or about to run paid ads (especially on Meta/TikTok/YouTube), and anyone whose ads "aren't working" despite fine targeting.
What you will understand
- Why creative is the dominant lever on auto-targeted platforms
- The hook: winning the first 1–3 seconds, or losing everything after
- Why an ad must both STOP the scroll and SELL, and how to do both
- How to make many creatives cheaply and let the platform pick winners
Prerequisites
Common misconception
"A good ad is a polished, professional, high-production video." On social feeds, over-produced ads often UNDERperform. They look like ads, and people scroll past ads. Native-looking, authentic, benefit-clear creative (even shot on a phone) frequently beats a glossy commercial, because it stops the scroll instead of announcing "commercial break." Production value is not the same as performance value.
