Run the Shop

You just bought Beanline Coffee.

A corner shop with regulars, a tired espresso machine, and $12,000 in the bank.

Twelve months. One decision each. Underneath every choice runs the same math the lessons teach: price elasticity, word-of-mouth lag, capacity, and the difference between profit and cash (they are not the same thing, and the gap between them ends more real businesses than competition does).

Every year plays out differently: different situations knock on the door, with different numbers attached. But there’s no luck in the outcomes: once a situation is in front of you, every consequence follows from your choice and the state you built. If the shop thrives, that was you. If the bank account dies in October, that was also you, three decisions earlier.

How do you want to play?

  • Assisted — Guided choices with hints — recommended.
  • Challenge — Type your own numbers, no hints, no coaching.
