Curb Appeal

You just bought The Rolling Ember.

A wood-fired flatbread truck with a loyal following, a tired engine, and $9,000 in the bank.

Twelve months, one decision each. The math underneath is the same math the lessons teach (per-plate margin, word-of-mouth lag, capacity) plus one lever a shop never gets: the truck moves. Where it parks multiplies everything else. That is why the free spot is the most expensive one on the map, and the $2,000 corner might be the bargain of the year.

Every year plays out differently: different situations pull up alongside you, with different numbers attached. But there is no luck in the outcomes: once a situation is in front of you, every consequence follows from your choice and the state you built. If December ends with a line down the block, that was you. If the engine dies in February with $900 in the account, that was also you, one cheap decision at a time.
