The Green Season

You just took over Everline Lawn & Snow.

A mowing route, a rusty trailer, and $10,500 to survive until spring.

Twelve months, one decision each, against a demand curve shaped like a hill: January sells almost nothing, June sells more than your crew can mow, and the four winter months eat whatever the summer saved. This is the seasonal-cash problem, and it kills profitable lawn companies every February.

The lever underneath everything is the contract question: annual customers pay less per cut but pay in January; one-off customers pay top dollar and vanish with the frost. Every year plays out differently, with different situations and different numbers, but there is no luck in the outcomes. If the account dies in the snow, the decision that killed it was probably made in June.
