The Shore House
You just bought the Shore House.
A 3-bedroom lake cottage, a $1,900 mortgage that never takes a month off, and about $10,000 in the bank.
Twelve months, one decision each. The math underneath is the rental math the lessons teach: occupancy times rate is the whole revenue line, reviews move it on a lag, and the house wears out at exactly the speed you earn with it. Against all of that stands a mortgage that arrives every month whether the lake is warm or frozen. Summer pays for winter, or nothing does.
Every year plays out differently: different situations knock, with different numbers attached. But the outcomes contain no luck: once a situation is on screen, every consequence follows from the numbers shown and the state you built. If the house ends the year licensed, loved, and liquid — that was you. If the bank account freezes over in February, that was also you, back in July, when the money felt permanent.
